sound junkee is philly d & strange. both producers & mc's hailing from derby, uk; bringing heavy, grimey & funky beats & sharp heavy rhymes to the uk hip-hop scene. they also produce drum & bass/dubstep material in their spare time. they've collaborated efforts with many amazing mc's, singers & percussionists etc from all across the country & try to create music that's new, original & truly sick. nice swan to all the tokers out there...

it is just an opinion, but fast funky music is hard to find in the free music scene. so I am glad to present sound junkee, who comes with a 15 tracks album called "disturbed".

the title is the description: weird science, not always easy to listen to, but always a pleasure to hear. philly d, strange & mc's hailing from derby, uk are sound junkee & the music is invariably more then plain dance-music. sophisticated beats, organic sounds & strange synth are build under word fragments. there is only one deficit: i needed some time get into it, but it pays: infomatik

'sound junkee is a duo of the united kingdom shaped by philly d & strange, both mc's and producers who due to his experimentation with electronic elements & their search for new sounds have reached an expansion to areas as the drum & bass & the breakbeat. "disturbed" wastes this style that is cooked in uk at the time of the beats, with anticipated electronic sounds & showing a side of rudeness much noticed in the musical part. but in "disturbed" also the raps play a very important role since the flow of these two subjects is tremendous and very versatile.
