featured friend - mad monk
The MadMonk project started in June 2007 in Milan, Italy and was founded by Christian, Riccardo and Valerio. All of the three guys above have a common interest: they madly love the mix of sounds that can let you feel emotions - what other people commonly call "music". They love all different kinds of music (house, pop, minimal, blues, electronic, rock, etc.) and they use to spend their free time talking about their favorite musicians, songs that have influenced their life, and their reviews of new and upcoming songs. Christian (DJ Bisk) remains hypnotized by minimal sounds. He listens, he plays, and he produces them. He alternates between moments where the music is the one that controls his soul and other moments in which he is the one who controls the music. Riccardo (Ricky Wonder) has always been fond of electronic sounds. He fell in love with that electro bass-line, which often accompanied him during his long and monotonous afternoons. Electronic Music is now part of Riccardo - a part of his life which will never leave him. Valerio is probably the one who is most difficult to describe. He loves electro-funk music, classical house music like Daft Punk, but he avoids listening to modern house music. He has house music in his heart. All three DJs want to let people feel what they can transmit with their music - to entertain the crowd that will be ready to be part of the musical journey. Of course, this is not simple: just wait and believe in them and you might discover a world never seen before.
